The Wonder of the Child

“You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.”

We can read that in a few breaths—but for Mary, it landed like an earthquake: unexpected, overwhelming, and wildly unplanned. You don’t process a moment like that in seconds. You sit with it for days. Or, for the rest of your life.

Mary witnessed two supernatural beginnings: the miracle of a promised Savior entering the world to save it, and the costly mission that would one day claim her Son; God’s only son, so humanity could have a future. The simple, surprising way Jesus came to us, for us, is still a wonder to behold, cherish, and share.

So this Sunday, come and behold Him—Jesus, born the King of Angels.
