The Precipice - The call when we push back

It’s strange but true: the Kingdom of God is a kingdom of opposites—even opposition! His thoughts and ways are far beyond ours. We tend to think God’s purposes are reserved for the obviously gifted, talented, and well-connected—the ones who seem to have it all together. But that’s not the biblical norm at all. More often, God calls the rebel, the defiant, the broken, and the shipwrecked who’ve washed up on life’s shores.

Let’s take an honest look at a couple of characters in the Bible – one who pushed back and told God to look elsewhere, the other came out of crushing grief and just decided to do the next right thing.
