“Give, and it shall be given.” What a bold statement to make. This phrase, part of Jesus’ “sermon on the plain,” highlights the concept of reciprocity—the mutual exchange of benefits. It emphasizes the harmony and balance that can exist between individuals or even nations. The Bible contains several expressions of reciprocity, but this one, spoken by Jesus, truly captures the character of God: generosity. How can we be generous to God? Let’s explore this together this Sunday, in our celebration of “Miracle Sunday.”
