The stories of Ebenezer Scrooge and The Grinch are popular Christmas characters. Some may say they’re fun and entertaining, but truthfully, no one wants to actually BE those characters in real life.
A big part of adjusting our attitudes in gratitude is our views about giving and generosity. It is far better to be a giver than a getter. However, the topic of finances (including the currency of time), can be a touchy subject. While the simple pushback can be, “I can’t give because I don’t have enough,” let’s look through the lens of God’s Word when it comes to giving and generosity.
