When looking for ways to get back what we’ve lost (time, money, or sanity) we often look for modern methods to achieve quicker results. That new “how to” book or blog, or the hottest app that’s all the rage. Maybe new isn’t always the best. What if old, even ancient, can do what the latest cannot? This is true about our hymns. Others wrote songs before we came along, who’ve had struggles and fears just like we do. They not only share our history, they share a perspective of simple clarity - to worship God.
